Loving parents need help keeping children warm

Leticia and her husband Angel came to Reason to Give hoping for a little help to get their family through this time of economic crisis.  They have four small children Jose, 6, Leslie, 4, Christopher, 3, and Denise, 2.  Leticia describes her household as "a big happy family." They have only lived in Humboldt Park for a short time, but enjoy the exposure to Puerto Rican culture and the annual parade very much.

Angel recently had to stop working because he suffers from arthritis, and the illness became so severe that he could no longer preform at his job. Living on a small amount of workman's compensation, Angel and Leticia are struggling to make ends meet. Leticia takes Jose and Leslie to school every morning and then comes home and tends to the babies and the housework.

Angel and Leticia hope to someday be able to afford a nice home to raise their children in, but for now they are asking for our help with basic needs for their family. Leticia tells Reason to Give that she hopes to receive coats and shoes to help keep her children warm and healthy during cold Chicago winters.  She also needs school supplies for her two oldest children as well. Leticia tells Reason to Give that she is very grateful to all those who donate to low income families like hers, especially in these times of economic crisis. She sends "1000 thanks for what your doing."
